Chronic constipation affects comfort, appetite and anorectal health. At Doctor's & Doctor's we combine lifestyle counselling with medical evaluation when needed — at Madeenaguda and Bachupally.
When lifestyle is not enough
Constipation lasting weeks despite fibre and fluids
Blood in stools, black stools, or unexplained weight loss
Severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or no gas/stool — urgent care
New constipation after age 50 or with family history of colon disease — discuss screening
Medicine side-effects (do not stop prescribed drugs without advice)
Constipation diet plan (practical starter)
This is general education — not a personal prescription. Adjust for diabetes, kidney disease or other conditions with your clinician:
Aim for gradual fibre increase (vegetables, fruits, dals, whole grains) — sudden jumps can cause gas
Drink adequate water across the day unless fluid-restricted
Include a fruit or salad portion with meals when possible
Limit prolonged fasting + large low-fibre dinners that worsen evening straining
Keep a regular toilet routine; avoid long phone time on the toilet
Gentle daily walking supports bowel motility
Osmotic softeners or other medicines may be advised short-term. Do not use harsh laxatives repeatedly without guidance.
Evaluation
We review diet, medicines, thyroid/metabolic factors when relevant, and anorectal issues such as piles or fissure. Diagnostics are ordered selectively.
Patients from Kompally and surrounding areas
We do not have a clinic in Kompally. Evaluation and treatment for these conditions are provided at our Madeenaguda (Madhinaguda) clinic. Patients from Kompally, Suchitra, Pet Basheerabad, Jeedimetla, Dullapally, Quthbullapur, Alwal and Bolarum regularly visit Madeenaguda for specialist care.
